The left-back played 90 minutes as Chelsea secured only their second&nbsp;Community Shield success over Manchester United at the old Wembley in 2000.
Success for Babayaro’s Blues saw them end the West London side’s 45-year wait for the honour having won their first in 1955.

Defeat for the Manchester giants was their third successive loss after twin losses to Arsenal in the two preceding years, and Babayaro played in the somewhat unexpected win over the Premier League champions.

The first of two Arsenal defenders on this list, Lauren was arguably the most underrated member of the Invincibles side and was present for the Gunners' Community Shield victories of 2002 and 2004.
He was influential against Liverpool to preserve a clean sheet in the first victory - a 1-0 triumph - and got the better of Ryan Giggs as Manchester United were dispatched 3-1 two years later.

The Cameroon right-back ended his time in North London with seven honours for the Gunners.

Also present for the Charity Shield victories in 2002 and 2004, Kolo made a brief cameo against Liverpool but had become a key player in the team for the 3-1 victory over Manchester United.
That Arsene Wenger side had finished the previous Premier League campaign unbeaten and were head and shoulders ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson’s troops.

Kanu’s performance in the 1999 Charity Shield saw him score from the spot to level, before setting up Ray Parlour’s winning strike as Arsenal came from behind to defeat Manchester United at the Millennium Stadium.
Deservedly, the striker was named Man of the Match after an incredible individual showing to help the Gunners reverse Dwight Yorke’s 36th-minute strike in Cardiff.

Yaya began the comeback for Man City with a driven low effort beyond Petr Cech in the 53rd minute, followed by goals from Carlos Tevez and Samir Nasri in the next 12 minutes which put the side from Manchester 3-1 up.

Despite Roberto Di Matteo’s team making it 3-2 through Ryan Bertrand’s 80th-minute strike, the Citizens held on for a comfortable victory over the European champions.
