Kerala Blasters are all set to sign Serbian coach Ivan Vukomanovic as the club’s new manager for the upcoming 2021-22 Indian Super League (ISL) season.
The former FC Bordeaux defender will replace Spanish coach Kibu Vicuna at the helm who had parted ways with the club towards the end of the 2020-21 season.
Vukomanovic has prior experience of working with Belgian top division side Standard Liege as their head coach. He has also managed Slovakian club Slovan Bratislava and Cypriot club Apollon Limassol FC.
Also, Kerala Blasters attacker Facundo Pereyra who had joined the ISL side in the 2020/21 season had earlier played under the tutelage of Ivan Vukomanovic at Apollon Limassol FC in the Cypriot league. The Serbian had served as an interim coach at Apollon during the 2019-20 season.
