<p>The South African based goalminder had&nbsp;precious little to do on the day but was equal to the task every time he was called into action. A superb close-range save to deny Christian Bassogog the opener in the first half&nbsp;remains the highlight of his night.&nbsp;</p>



Richard Ofori: 7/10

Despite some nervy moments in his matchup against a trickster (Clinton Njie), Yiadom had a decent outing and even had a chance to snatch the three points on offer for the Black Stars, but indecisiveness was his downfall all night long.

Andy Yiadom: 6/10

Like Yiadom, Rahman was up against a trickster (Christian Bassogog) but he did well to nullify all the dangers possessed by the 2017 MVP.&nbsp;He lost possession carelessly in the 41st minute and was nearly punished. Ofori's wonderful save had bailed him out.

Baba Rahman: 6/10

Mensah was a pillar of the Black Stars' backline with some timeous interceptions and two goalbound crucial blocks. His well-timed tackle from behind put off Karl Toko-Ekambi who was already through on goal, while the defender - standing in for suspended John Boye - also put his body on the line to keep out Bassogog's rocket in the 75th minute.

Jonathan Mensah: 8/10

Another impressive display for the&nbsp;Hoffenheim man as he stood tall and firm alongside Mensah in the heart of the Black Star's defence.&nbsp;

Kasim Nuhu: 7/10

This was arguably one of the&nbsp;Deportivo Alaves men's worse performances in Ghana colours as he struggled to impose himself with numerous misplaced passes, poor delivery from dead-ball situations and also conceded possession carelessly.&nbsp;

Mubarak Wakaso: 4/10

Like his midfield partner Wakaso, Partey did not have a good day at the office.&nbsp;

Thomas Partey: 4/10

Other than offering the much needed defensive stability down the left-flank which came up against a tough duo in Collins Fai and Bassogog, Asamoah did not offer much offensively.&nbsp;

Kwadwo Asamoah: 5/10

<p>Despite being forced off the field after only 15 minutes into the game owing to injury, Atsu, up against a familiar Premier League figure in Gaetan Bong, had shown he can be a great threat.&nbsp;</p>


Christian Atsu: 6/10

With Ghana's midfield malfunctioning, the forwards were bound to be starved of the ball and as a result, could not offer much, such was the case with Jordan who remained a menace even though he was clearly frustrated.&nbsp;

Jordan Ayew: 5/10

Like his brother Jordan, Andre did not see much of the ball but remained a threat every time the ball was played into the box. Also showed some intelligence with clever running and sometimes dropped deep into midfield to remain an option.

Andre Ayew: 6/10

Worked tirelessly after coming on for the injured Atsu but perhaps, the Newcastle United men's shoes were too big to fill for the youngster.&nbsp;

Samuel Owusu: 5/10

Offered little having come on for Asamoah in the 78th minute but was denied a winner by Owusu Kwabena who opted for a shot when the 33-year-old was a better option. Kwabena, on the other hand, had a chance to steal the headlines with his first touch but was not on the field long enough to earn a grading.&nbsp;
